Installing OpenType Fonts

Hi,

My understanding is that in order to install non-truetype fonts you need to provide a "Registration Name"

I have an otf font (Linux Biolinum) that has 3 faces, so 3 files. Do I use the same Registration name for all 3 faces?

The reason I ask is we are running into issues where the installer seems to be removing 2 of the 3 faces.

Re: Installing OpenType Fonts

Hello Eric,

Since the registration name is the same for all fonts, I think they might overwrite eachother (like 2nd font overwrites the 1st and 3rd overwrites the 2nd).

To avoid this, I would suggest having different registration names for each, e.g.:

Code: Select all

Linux Biolinum
Linux Biolinum Bold (TrueType)
Linux Biolinum Italic
Hope this helps!
