Scan Prompts

After every reboot, I get a prompt about a scan in my CD drive. It says "Gathering Information" and then comes up with another prompt saying "the feautre you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not available. Insert the "scan" disk now and click on. "

Below it, then it says "use feature from" and when I go to browse it searches for .MSI files.

This is really annoying, and all my best efforts to get rid of it and find support haven't been successful. I am coming here, basically because I know of no where else to go for help. It only ceases by ending the task in task manager. Hitting cancel just starts the scan over again. I am at a loss here. Any help or ideas are greatly appreciated.

Sounds like an installation that went wrong. You should uninstall the offending program.

Did you encounter this running a MSI created with Advanced Installer?
