Upgrade support dll's on target PC

Hello,

I used Advanced Installer some time back to build an ISO file to install a VB6 app using Crystal Reports XI R2 on 30 user's machines. CR (SAP) have brought out 2 new service packs which (they say) I need to install on the PC's.

What is the easiest way of doing this? Do I need to rebuild the Advanced Installer AIP file to create a new ISO or is there a simpler way of just copying over the newer dll's to the correct folders on the target machine?

Hello Peter,

Actually, this is a typical upgrade scenario. You can create the upgrade project containing the extra service packs(add the dll's to the existing project files).
The only thing you will need to consider mandatory is keeping the same upgrade code throughout your upgrades(done automatically by Advanced Installer when changing the product version).
