MsiExec return Value

Hello,

It happens that some error occurs during the installation and nevertheless msiexec returns 0.
For example a service is not started or a file is not copied.

We could look at a verbose log file but it is not very easy to automate this.

Do you know another way to handle this problem?

Regards

IER

Hi,

Could you please sent a verbose log to support at advancedinstaller dot com so we can take a look.

You can obtain the verbose log with following command line:
msiexec /i package.msi /l*v log.txt

Best Regards,
Gigi
