Disable modify

Hi,

I ticked "Disable Modify" under Product Details and this hid the Modify button from within Windows Add/Remove programs.

However, if I run the installer again the Modify option is displayed in the installer menu...

What is the recommended way to disable the Modify option from within the installer?

Hi Nick,

If you are using an Enterprise project, the MaintenanceTypeDlg can be easily edited from the Dialogs page. You can remove the labels and hide the Modify button( set Visible to false from Properties left pane ).

Hi,

1) The modify button is at the top... making it non-visible will leave a hole and require more major modification of this page.

2) This is a new problem in AI - Version 6.7.1 (the version we used before upgrading to 8.x) automatically hid the Modify button when the Disable Modify option was checked.

Hi Nick,

Please note that you can adjust the buttons coordinates any way you like with the Dialog editor. Use the mouse and keyboard to move the buttons or you can use the automated adjustment tools.
