Want to put shortcut key for Cancel Button in Dialogs

Hi,

In the dialogs of the installer, we normally have “Back”, “Next” and “Cancel” button. For Back and Next shortcut key is defined but for Cancel it is not there, I want to put shortcut key for cancel also.
I checked Special Properties for Cancel button it is “[ButtonText_Cancel]” and its value is “Cancel”, I want to change it to “&Cancel”.

I can change the Text of Cancel button, but I do that I need to do in each dialog, is there and way I can change “[ButtonText_Cancel]” value so it will reflect to all the places.

Hi Amit,

Please note that the Cancel button is associated with the "Esc" key. If you want a different shortcut, you can try this:
- go to the "dictionaries" subfolder of the Advanced Installer installation folder
- open "ui_en.ail" with a text editor
- find the "ButtonText_Cancel" property and modify its value
- save the changes
- close and reopen Advanced Installer
- rebuild your project
