Will AI ever contain some sort of snapshot based installer?

Hello,

We're actually looking for a tool that would help us to deploy applications & OS's.

The problem is that we have a bunch of custom applications that requires a lot of fiddling in some sort of .ini files and the registry, all these manual checks & changes make the install over 2 hours while begging that it will acutally work. :(

Is there a way we can let AI check the system state before and after the install(+fiddling) of such applications and build a script file based on the changes to create an MSI file out of it (running as silent install) ?

detecting what files were added, the security of them & registry changes will take ages to add it 1 by 1 in AI (or I overlooked something here as I just had a quick look)

Hopefully this tools suits our needs.

Hi,

This feature has been requested several times and maybe it will be implemented in a future release.

However, I can not give you a time frame on this request.

Regards,
Denis

ok, that would be great.

I'll see if I can try to convince my superior to buy this software as it will be usefull anyway.
