Hi
I've been using my Adv. Installer for my application for quite some time. My application also has a custom updater so some users might have a version originally installed by Adv. Installer and then updated by the custom updater. The custom updater might do a number of things when it updates the application such as adding files to the application directory that Adv. Installer doesn't know about or registering a COM component which the original setup did not.
I have two questions.
1. Is there any way for me, in the custom updater, to add a file to the uninstall sequence of an existing installation (made with Adv. Installer)?
2. In my future install projects for the application I want to include a Custom Action that runs my custom updater with a "-uninstall" parameter. This parameter would tell the updater to unregister any COM objects it knows that might have been registered by the updater (after the original setup) or do some other kind of "cleanup". My question is, can I add an uninstall custom action afterwards that by using the registry or by other means?
Regards,
Einar
