[TARGETDIR] Already present in table when modifying sync

I am trying to add folders named "cert" to the sync exclude filters in the Application Folder, however when I then try to build, it gives the [TARGETDIR] already present error when trying to build and when subsequently trying to start the application

It appears that this error is appearing any time that I modify the sync of a synced dir

I tried creating a new project and the same error appeared when adding a sync filter or just adding sync to a folder

Quite the strange behavior, indeed.

You mentioned you were able to reproduce this in a test project as well.

I have tried to do that myself and wasn't able to do so:

Here are the steps I took:

- created new project

- synchronized APPDIR with a folder from disk

Same happened when I tried to add a filter to the synchronization.

Did I miss something here? Could you please give me a step by step test case so I can try to reproduce this on my end?

Note: I have tested this with our latest version, 23.5.1.

Created new Installer Project [Professional], English (UK)
(Running in trial mode)

Edit synchronization settings of Application Folder, tick synchronize content with folder from disk

Used a folder called test containing single file called test.txt

test.txt is successfully added to Application Folder

Tried to build installer

Received error popup

Advanced Installer 23.5.1
A row with this key [APPDIR] was already registered in the table

Proceeds to build indefinitely until closed

Upon trying to reopen, am forced out of project to home screen with same error popup

This does indeed seem to be an issue, as more of our customers reported it.

It is a really strange issue, as we haven't been able to reproduce it on our end just yet.

I have just tried to reproduce with the test-case you provided and I wasn't able to do so.

If possible, could you please share a sample AIP file that you can reproduce this with so I can try and test with that on my end?

Please note that our DEV team is currently investigating it as well - it'd help a lot still if we were able to reproduce this.

Hello,

We have managed to reproduce this on our end.

This issue reproduces when your right click on the folder --> "Synchronization" --> "Settings".

We weren't able to reproduce this so far on our end because we always enabled the synchronization via right clicking on the folder --> "Properties" --> "Synchronize" tab.

That would also be the workaround until we have a fix for this.
