Version 21.1 blocked from executing via Azure devops pipeline

Hi

we have a perpetual license but it now seems version 21.1 has been prevented from running anymore via azure pipeline ?

##[error]We want to provide the best experience for you and support the newest Advanced Installer features. To do so, we are no longer supporting older versions of the software. Please note that the minimum required version is 21.2.2 and the configured version is 21.1.

We have this version over two years and an Enterprise Floating license - why is this now stopped from running ?

Hello and welcome to our forums,

Indeed, we have prevented versions that are older than 2 years to run in the pipelines.

The decision to discontinue support for older Advanced Installer versions is primarily driven by security and platform integrity considerations.

Continuing to allow execution of outdated builds could expose users to potential vulnerabilities or inconsistent behavior when interacting with newer environments and APIs.

In two years, with a release each month, we are releasing ~22 new versions.

If you have a valid Maintenance Plan, please upgrade to a slightly newer version.

Appreciate the response and the concern on versions etc.

But this also violates the whole premise of a perpetual license and the basis of it is the customers own risk to continue with an outdated version ?
