I have an install pacage using the built in test for the presence of a VC++ 2005 redistributable libs. However although this works in 90% of installs there are a significant numbr of machines that seem to have a partial install of the VC++ Side-by-side libraries so that the builtin test - examining ...

I had this error, but realised that the error only happend when a previously built file was open so that it could not be rebuilt.

I understand why this happens but it is not a very good error message
