Re: DIFx Error

Gabriel,

What is the path we use to include both 32 and 64 bit versions of the DIFxAPP files?
Our package installs drivers on Vista, Win7, and XP OS under both 32 and 64 bit.

Thanks

Restart message buttons are not localized during uninstall

We have an installation package which supports 9 languages and prompts the user to restart the system at the end of the installation/Uninstall/Repair. We uncovered that the restart message buttons are not localized if the user selects to uninstall or repair the package. The same buttons are ...

Re: Uninstall not localized

Could the behavior be corrected if we use the other option “Display the language selection dialog”?
Would the package uninstall using the language we used to install or the one current in use?

Thanks

Uninstall not localized

We encountered a scenario, which appears to be a bug, but we would like to get your comments.

We install an application on a multi-language OS when English is the main language. Later on, we decided to change the language to Polish and uninstall the application. The application uninstalls properly ...

Install MSI without using package chaining?

Is it possible to install an MSI (1) from within another MSI without using package chaining?
A Feature will control the installation of the second MSI (1). The installation will occur after the main package installs and the user chooses to install a new feature (second application).
Thanks

Chained packages fail to reinstall with AI 7.0.1

We created a sample MSI that installs a chained package. The chained package install and uninstall conditions are directly associated with a defined feature. If the user chooses to install the feature, the chained package will install. The package uninstalls if the user chooses to remove the feature ...

Install CHAINED Package when needed

We built an MSI package which installs several other Chained packages. To improve the user experience, we associated a Feature with each Chained package allowing the user to choose which Chained package to install. (Customize/Modify). The exercise has an adverse effect which we need your help to ...

Unable to register version 6.6 with Valid license

I installed AI 6.5.2 under Vista Sp1 and register the copy with a valid license. Everything worked fine until I upgraded to version 6.6. Version 6.6 continues to report my license as trial version and any attempts to register and/or reinstall latest version has no effect. From your customer service ...

Chained Package Uninstall Order

Is there a way to defined the uninstall order of several chained packages (MSI)? Early test of AI 6.5.2 show that both installation and uninstall process follows the chained package list order. This is a problem since we must uninstall all chained MSI in reverse order. Thanks
