Hi,
What i mean is now in AI there is Service Account username and password while configuring service properties, i want to have this account information entered by user during installation and install the service under that entered account if its possible.

Im trying to configure an updater and have some problems, I configured as you described here but after downloading the v2.msi file it failes to install it, (i configured the v2 package to add one file to v1 installed package) i have a question
-do i need to keep everything that exist in v1 and ...

Hi, I have a same situation here, i want it like that if it was Windows Vista then the service to be installed as Administrator but then we need to have a password , i wonder if its possible?

Hi , i have the same situation but it doesnt work with me, I added an extra path edit and browse button but the problem is in browse dialog when I click ok it give me an error 2727, i think its because i chenged the property name of the extra pathEdit to APPDIR_1, one more question is how can i ...

Thanks, can i give the Uninstaller file a dynamic path tobe getted from some property? and when its launched it give a errer message 'Installanywhere properties file is missing' but when i test the Uninstaller amnually it was ok, any idea why?

its interesting, but one issue is remaining, how to call the Uninstaller of the old installation(which is an .exe file) ?

yes it was Deferred and Immediate solves the problem but how we can have a Custem Action runs at the very end before finalization, even after services installed, because Immediate makes it runs at the begining of the installation. Thanks

Thanks Cosmin for answering but still not working, here i write toyou all the vbscript which i copied from the one above and all i get as result is a text file containing "Edit your Ezine Preferences" . Thanks

Hi, i changed this example to get the portnumber that entered by user during installation and save it to a txt file, but only i could find empty text file created after installation, here is the code summary hope i can get some help, thanks

Migrate from Installanywhere

Hi,
We are currently using installanywhere and trying to migrate to AdvancedInstaller , I wondered if we can upgrade the previous version that created with installanywhere? because it doesnt have .msi file. if its possible then please tell me how, otherwise any suggestions will be apreaciated ...
