Hello,
It happens that some error occurs during the installation and nevertheless msiexec returns 0.
For example a service is not started or a file is not copied.
We could look at a verbose log file but it is not very easy to automate this.
Do you know another way to handle this problem ...

Permission tab doesn't appear in the registry value dialog
Hi,
I have an old project designed with Advanced Installer V1.4
Now I work with Advanced installer 3.3.1
On this old project, the permission tab is not displayed.
Why? How can I add permission to a registry key in this project.

Dear sir,
I was proposed an update from version 3.7 to 3.9. Thank you
But at the end of install, I was told my update plan had expired and I was back to Trial version.
I don't want a 3.9 trial version ! How can I get back to my 3.7?

In fact, I'm installing version n+1 over version n. So most new files have the same GUID as old ones.
Furthermore, I do have created the project from the previous one. (copy directory projectN in directory ProjectN+1 and edit aip in this new directory).

Sometimes a file is not installed.
The previous version is removed. Registry values are removed and written. But on some machines the files is not installed. No message in the log file ???
Log files with and without the mistake are identical. It just lacks a line "InstallFiles: File: Xier567 ...

Setting permissions on registry Key
The permission settings on the registry key are not persitent.
I use right click on a registry key to set the properties of the key. On the tab permission, I add a new username and give him permissions. OK and OK. If I come back to this tab the username has disappeared.
Is it normal?
