My defender definition is the newest one. I can reproduce the behaviour.

Looks like you released the 21.5 version now, but it is getting blocked from windows defender

Is installing the debug version 21.5 still your recommendation to resolve this issue? I'm facing the same problem using azure key vault when it comes to signing.

thank you very much for your answer. I checked your point:
both packages are 32bit
the base is sheduled before main package
and the search is just like your -just that i had "The value contains a path to a directory" instead of "Retrieve the raw value"

So here is the screenshot. This ist right after the plugin on the right called the base installer. I modified the installation path of the base installer to C:\Testinstall.

I just saw that -in case of uninstalling the program the msiexec is called with the paramter /i. Shouldn't it be /x ?? I manually tried to do this with the /x param and it worked just fine... Thank you Dan for the answer! Because of the hint about the possibility to include/exclude prerequisites on a build basis, I changed the Package Type of my Update installer to "Single Exe setup (resources inside)" and excluded the prerequsites that I don't need for the update case.
