Follow up, the issue is happening even in our version of the install that contains no pre-requisite. So could this be some pre-requisite that's built into the later build of Advanced Installer itself??

We just updated to the latest version of Advanced Installer and since then a few customers have reported issues with the .NET 8 x64 pre-requisite causing the install to fail. Apparently, the pre-requisite keeps trying to install and doesn't allow the installation to continue. Any ideas?

Is the .NET7 Desktop Runtime available as a pre-requisite in Advanced Installer? I'm only seeing .NET6 in my list. Maybe I need to upgrade?

Follow up, I went ahead and purchased us an EV code signing cert, as I read it automatically gives you reputation with SmartScreen. Hopefully the new EV cert will resolve the issue. Any thoughts?

Hi ... I sign my setup.exe with a recently obtained sha256 code signing certificate from Symantec, and when I examine the EXE and look at the Digital Signatures tab it is signed. However, when I attempt to run the downloaded setup, SmartScreen reports Unknown Publisher. Any ideas???
