Since we are having this issue only on vlan(Static Ip address) and not on vlan(Dynamic), we are suspecting if Adobe Reader is triggering some kind of network activity (possibly DNS related) that may have been causing the delay.

There is a requirement were in which we need to start service with the lockdown user...

we divide .msi into two parts machine & user side

As part of the package we add a SYSTEM variable to PATH. On some machines, by adding this path we have exceeded the maximum length of the Path variable allowable by Windows.

How do we resolve this issue ?

An mst calling another MSI (nested). Everything works fine. It is installed from the network (s drive). When disconnected S drive and then try to uninstall, it gives error 1706. Have disabled the ResolveSource for Uninstall. Still doesn't help. The child MSi resides on the server and that's causing ...
